Interestingly enough, there was another killing kind of connected to this: Peter Manfredonia attacked and killed a 62 year old man with a sword, then an 80 year old man with that same sword, and fled into the swamp before breaking into a house and holding the resident hostage for over 24 hours. Then he drove across the state, shot a classmate of his from UConn and then kidnapped that guy's girlfriend. Peter had been Adam's neighbor and friend and was deeply effected by what he did at Sandy Hook, to the point that he obsessed over it, even writing notes about it on his walls.
